Place two boxes on the side of one of the plates so you can jump up to the large experience orb.Ĭontinue to the right to be attacked by goblin mummies. The statues will chop with their axes when the plate is activated. Under each of the three statues is a pressure plate. Grab the Secret Chest with the Collectible Painting first and then the experience bottle.ĭrop back down and go to the right. This will prevent the fire from igniting in the center. Break the wood above the pedestal to drop the experience bottle onto it and weigh it down. Take the head from the pedestal on the right and place it on the statue in front of the chest. Up the top there is a chest to the left but a headless statue bars your path to it. This may take few tries before you get it right. Use Zoya to grapple up to it and swing up to land on top of it. Jump up twice to the right and pull the skull on a chain to open the door to the left for more experience points. Past the gate you’ll find the fourth checkpoint. Putting a box on the pillar will drop it down, making it easier to jump across. You need to use the mirror to lift up the flappy platforms, push the button and quickly jump across to the left to make it through the gate. Pushing the button on the right wall here opens the strange gate to the left. Giving you just enough time to jump up them and over to the right. This will lift up the three platforms for a moment. Use the mirror to center the beam of light onto the red button on the right wall. Grapple up to the cart to pick up the experience orbs overhead and then either swing over to the other side or walk across the rock platform to the next room. Use a plank to press the button and rest it on the rock platform to keep it there. There’s a button on the left side of the cliff face that brings out a large rock platform. In the next room are two flappy platforms with a spinning blade. Put a box on it to hold it down so you can go through the door. ![]() Head back out to the right and pull down the platform with the experience potion on it. Head to the left and break the wood to release the experience potions. Take out the goblin mummies and use Amadeus to pull out the coffin in the left wall. Push the rock and drop down with it to the cavern below. Follow along behind it and swing across to the third checkpoint. On the other side of the door a boulder will fall from the roof so be careful. Once this heats up the doors will open for a short time. Use Amadeus to move the glass case into the line of the ray to reflect it back to the red button. Head into the building and use Pontius’ shield to protect him from the light ray and head to the other side of the room next to the closed door. If you drop down to the sand underneath you’ll be attacked by two sandworms at once. On the other side you’ll find the second checkpoint. To get across the cactus have Zoya shoot a gravity field around it and then place a plank over the top of it. Keep heading to the right and you’ll run into your first sandworm. On the other side you’ll find the first checkpoint. Head across to the right and jump on the trampoline when you get to it and over to the statue. Once you complete its campaign, you can replay stages to discover more experience pick-ups that allow you to level up and learn more passive and active skills.After being taken away by a wyvern the three heroes are dropped off in the middle of a desert. It'll take you around 10 hours to finish it which is very long for such a consistently engaging 2D adventure. Pontius beats up goblins like a proTrine 2 is a huge game that stretches across plenty of lengthy levels. ![]() Trine 2 may just be the best looking and sounding 2D game that I've ever played. Plus, the audio is flawless complete with subtle moody orchestral pieces, fantastic voice acting, and gratifying effects that make solving puzzles and slaying enemies feel all the more visceral. In fact, each frame of gameplay can be hung in a museum it looks so darn good. ![]() Swapping between Amadeus, Zoya, and Pontius in order to solve puzzles, progress past tricky scenarios, and defeat enemies is super-satisfying stuff and being able to play cooperatively with up to 3 simultaneous local players is the icing on the cake.As you can tell from the screenshots, Trine 2: Complete Story is an absolutely gorgeous game with plenty of distinct environments that are impressively detailed. ![]()
